This is an exciting and pivotal time for our city. Greenville is in a period of rapid growth, and decisions about the nature of these changes will impact our community for generations to come. I am running for reelection to the Greenville City Council in November of this year, and I would value your help as we continue working together to build a city of excellence.
In this very challenging economic environment, I am proud to have worked on developing a prudent city budget, which required no cuts in essential services and no increases in taxes. Indeed, the city has been able to hire, or has budgeted for, 14 new police officers, 12 new fire and rescue workers, and a neighborhood ombudsman, and significantly upgraded its law enforcement technology.
